Honda has redesigned the 2018 Accord, and now the popular midsize family sedan is larger, lighter, more powerful, and more technologically sophisticated than any outgoing model. Multiple features in the latest Accord are designed to increase driver awareness, including the new Honda Sensing suite of driver assistance. This feature, available standard on all 2018 Accord models, includes:

  • Collision Mitigation Braking System

  • Forward Collision Warning

  • Lane Departure Warning

  • Road Departure Mitigation

  • Lane Keeping Assist System

  • Adaptive Cruise Control

  • Traffic Sign Recognition

In addition to the impressive Honda Sensing suite, the all new 2018 Honda Accord has been redesigned from head to toe. On the exterior, the new Accord is actually shorter in length and height, with a fast roofline and tapering side windows that make the car look low, lean, and more like a rear-drive vehicle.

Looking inside, it is apparent that effort was made to quiet the 2018 Accord’s cabin. These efforts are shown through Honda’s use of acoustic glass, structural adhesives, sound insulation and absorption materials, underbody panels, and Active Noise Control technology. In addition to sound control, the new Accord is equipped with 20% thinner windshield pillars to give the driver a panoramic forward view.

Under the hood, a 1.5-liter 4-cylinder turbocharged engine comes standard, with a redesigned, Continuously Variable Transmission that’s said to deliver better performance than any in it’s past. As an upgrade in Sport and Touring trims, the 2018 Accord supplies an engine that generates 252 horsepower at 6,500 rpm.
