DESIGN

Honda Civic

The Honda Civic can be described with a variety of adjectives: fun, sleek, athletic. As such, it appeals to a wide range of drivers. Regardless, it’s stylish in every sense of the word. From its standard exterior elements to a variety of upgrades and packages, the Civic provides plenty of opportunities to express yourself.

Superior Exterior Times 3

One aspect of the Honda Civic that truly sets it apart is its three different body styles: Sedan, Hatchback, and Si (sporty compact sedan). So, there’s certain to be one that speaks to you. Let’s look at each of their exterior design characteristics.

Civic Sedan (LX, Sport, Sport Hybrid, or Sport Touring Hybrid)
Civic Hatchback (Sport, Sport Hybrid, or Sport Touring Hybrid)
Civic Si
  • Low, wide frame
  • Expansive glass
  • Swooping roofline
  • Elongated hood
  • Minimalist
  • Large windows
  • Wide tailgate
  • Aerodynamic design
  • Low and sleek
  • Panoramic windshield
  • Gloss-black spoiler
  • Racing-inspired

Across the Honda Civic configurations, you’ll find some crossover trim levels and features, like 18-inch Gloss Black Alloy wheels with the Civic Sport trim level. Two hybrid trim levels are offered as either a Sedan or a Hatchback. However, the Civic SI is offered as a single trim. Still, no matter which version you choose, you’ll make a visual statement that’s loud and proud.

Interior Comforts

Since you’ll be seated inside your Honda Civic, you’ll want to be sure the cabin offers the comfort and amenities you require. Honda has designed an ergonomic and driver-centric cockpit with easily accessible controls. A nearly panoramic windshield offers wide sightlines and ensures visibility. Depending on which configuration you choose, some of the standard and available options are heated, 8-way adjustable front seats and dual-zone automatic climate control.

Ensuring comfort also requires adequate wiggle room for everyone on board and plenty of space to stow whatever gear you bring along (or pick up along the way).

Hatchback39.3/37.1 inches42.3/37.4 inches24.5 cubic feet
Si37.6/37.1 inches42.3/37.4 inches14.1 cubic feet

While the Civic Hatchback and the Civic Sedan provide identical passenger room, the Hatchback offers far more cargo space due to its design. Though more compact, the Si nonetheless offers ample space and a comfortable interior.

PERFORMANCE

Honda Civic

Although the Honda Civic is considered a compact vehicle, it doesn't skimp when it comes to power. A peek under the hood will prove that the Civic can keep up with your active lifestyle and some of the "big dogs" out on the road.

Athletic Metrics

You’ll enjoy impressive power generation from the Civic Sedan and the Civic Hatchback, which share the same two engine options:

  • Standard 2.0L 4-cylinder engine: 150 horsepower and 133 lb-ft of torque
  • Optional Hybrid 2-motor system: 200 net horsepower and 232 lb-ft of torque

Meanwhile, the Civic Si delivers the same amount of horsepower as the Hybrid powertrain (200 HP) and 192 lb-ft of torque with its 1.5L turbocharged engine.

1-2-3 Power Punch

When it comes to moving that pure power to the wheels, the Honda Civic Sedan and the Civic Hatchback are once again similar in their standard Continuously Variable Transmissions. Adding to its racing-inspired design, the Civic Si features a 6-speed manual transmission with Rev-Match Control to experience added excitement behind the wheel. In all respects, the Honda Civic is finely tuned to deliver brisk acceleration and smooth handling.

Depending on configuration and trim level, the Honda Civic includes a drive system that allows you to change modes based on conditions or your mood: Econ, Normal, Sport, and Individual Whether you're chasing efficiency, craving a more spirited ride, or customizing your own balance of both, the Civic adapts to deliver the experience you want, every time you drive.
