Discover everything the best-selling compact car in the U.S. has to offer.
Upscale New Design
The 2022 Civic sedan will come in four trim levels: LX, Sport, EX and Touring. An upright front grille and all-LED front and rear lighting mirror the larger Accord’s design, while the long, horizontal dashboard with hexagonal mesh calls back to 1960s automotive styling. Altogether, it’s a more upscale look than the 2021 model.
Under The Hood
The 2022 Civic offers incremental improvements over the 2021 model. The turbocharged 1.5-liter engine, available for EX and Touring trim levels, increases horsepower from 174 to 180 and torque from 174 to 177 pound-feet. All trim levels are improving 1-2 mpg in fuel efficiency over the 2021 model. The most efficient is the EX trim level, offering 33 mpg in the city and 42 mpg on the highway.
Go High-Tech
Standard adaptive cruise control will add stop-and-go capability for the 2022 Civic, which will also feature new traffic-sign recognition. Available new Low Speed Braking Control works at parking-lot speeds to warn the driver of approaching objects and apply the brakes to avoid potential collisions. Touring models will come with wireless device charging for the first time in Civic history, and the base model LX will increase infotainment display size from 5 inches to 7 inches.
